In Taiwan, the dragon is the vital force of life. Yet it is ethereal. Each movement flickers quickly and is gone, transformed into the next. The arms are raised. The body turns, rushing downward and channeling the new phrase. The dancers are currents winding around each other. The choreography engages with this dichotomy and explores the harmony and dissonance epitomized by the dragon and tiger.

The song warns of a metaphorical storm baring down on a small town and the people who call it home. Nature is the great equalizer when she brings her wrath, like the current storm we are in, only that which really matters comes into sharp focus. We humans will huddle together like family. ❤️
"And oh yes my brothers
We are gonna lean on each other
If we're gonna turn this situation 'round
Oh and it all rings true
The daylight shines right through
You thought you were done with those days
But they ain't done with you"

This is a concert film in memory of the “Neuro Dubel” band leader Alexander Kullinkovich ‒ sad, sincere and optimistic at the same time. On October 25, 2018 well-known Belarusian musicians appeared on one of the largest Minsk club stages: Volsky, Varashkevich, Pomidoroff, Pugach, Khomenko and others performed in turns to the accompaniment of “Neuro Dubel”, giving a new life to Kullinkovich’s songs. “New vocal solutions without sacrificing the affection that was always present at “Neuro Dubel’s” concerts”, keyboardist Max Ivashin said.
A multi-camera footage is interwoven with the band’s archives and supplemented by interviews with musicians and audience – touching stories of acquaintances and memories of the part the “Neuro Dubel’s” music played in their lives. This year “Neuro Dubel” celebrates its 30th anniversary.

I have always been thinking about this short work for string quartet I wrote in 2015. I liked the tranquillity of the music, and a very nice performance by RTHK String Quartet. It was originally written for a music-image project, and I turned that into a part of my "Eurydice" in 2017. With Max I was finally able to transform the stillness of music to this jellyfish-kind of animation--so soft, so tender, yet still, simple.

The video portrays the thirteen artists of the Almar'à band one by one. All of them depicted as chinese shadows that gradually fill with waterfalls, flowers, sandstorms, fire, and fluid landscapes. The idea of the director Francesco Cabras, who comes from video art, documentaries and photography, is to represent the musicians in a harmonious ensemble in which the silhouette gives them an individual identity within a shared soul. The stylization of the shape wants to convey to the thirteen musicians an aesthetic cohesion that tells the precious differences as the common symmetries.
Anxiety is a monster that sits on your chest and does not allow you to breathe, it is the constant fear of anticipation of things that will surely never happen. Our society has increased desires to the unbearable and at the same time to satisfy them it's much more difficult. Time ago people fought on the battlefield of war, today the battlefield has expanded to sex, money and work.

Shapes and Sizes

Unexpectedly unsettling images of Texas freeways, urban traffic patterns, and highway construction, rendered extraordinary by using two different cameras, one of whose sensors has been modified for infrared photography, concretize Regin Petersen’s 2011 new music composition, “Shapes and Sizes,” performed by the Ensemble Kwartludium, as a wordless poem melding sound and moving pictures together in a beautiful but alienating critique of late corporate capitalist American car culture and its disregard for the environment worthy of Jean Baudrillard.
